Future Tech Events, organisers of the annual National AI Awards has today announced the winners of the prestigious National AI Awards 2024 which took place yesterday evening at Adastral Park, Ipswich.

The National AI Awards 2024 celebrates the remarkable achievements of AI innovators, teams, and organisations that have demonstrated outstanding leadership in transforming industries, improving lives, and advancing the state of artificial intelligence.

The awards ceremony was a true success, showcasing the cutting-edge advancements in AI while celebrating the visionaries behind these innovations. Held at BT’s Adastral Park, Ipswich, the evening featured highlights of the BT’s ‘Secure Tomorrow’ festival held earlier in the day. Attendees were treated to a thought-provoking keynote address by Sir Dermot Turing who emphasised the transformative potential of AI in shaping the future of technology and business. Event host, Sonya Barlow shared the excitement of the honorees, “We have had hundreds of entries to this year’s awards and are happy to see such a diverse range of entries and guests at this year’s awards. Highly Commended: Intent HQ – This nomination had highly impressive success metrics. Intent HQ rates exceptionally well against similar companies in the AI and customer data analytics market. Its innovative technologies, strong market presence, robust privacy features, significant business impact, and commitment to ethical practices and diversity set it apart to be marked as a highly commended nomination within this category.

Award: The AI Award for Energy and Utilities

Winner: Centrica, Harnessing AI for a Sustainable Energy Future – Centrica’s strategic deployment of AI spans multiple facets of the energy sector, demonstrating a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational efficiency. By leveraging AI for hyper-personalised customer service, intelligent products, operational excellence, and energy security, Centrica sets new standards in energy management. Their AI-driven initiatives not only streamline processes and improve resource management but also contribute significantly to sustainability goals, making them a competitive player in the energy sector.

Award: The AI Award for Financial Services

Winner: Earthian AI – Earthian AI presents a compelling and innovative application of artificial intelligence in financial services, focusing on climate risk management and sustainable finance. Their use of high-resolution satellite monitoring, predictive climate models, and financial regulation data exemplifies how AI can transform risk management, enhance fraud detection, and personalise financial products. Award: The AI Award for Healthcare

Winner: Anya, Doubling the national 6-8 week breastfeeding rate, in Lancashire – Anya demonstrates a solid implementation of AI in healthcare, specifically for breastfeeding and parenting support. The AI chatbot provides personalised, evidence-based information 24/7, integrating expert knowledge with user-specific needs. The system shows adaptability through continuous retraining and has demonstrated measurable impact on breastfeeding rates in specific regions.

Winner: VirtTuri AI Clinical Informatics Avatar – VirtTuri excels in patient engagement and inclusivity, making it a standout solution in the healthcare industry for its use of AI.

Award: The AI Award for High Tech and Telecom

Winner: University of Bristol, Project REASON – Project REASON demonstrates a highly advanced and forward-thinking implementation of AI in telecommunications. Their focus on developing AI-native architectures for 6G networks, including real-time end-to-end AI monitoring, trustworthy AI model lifecycle management, and dynamic spectrum allocation, shows a comprehensive and innovative approach.
